Osmania Medical College is situated in Hyderabad city in Telangana. Established in 1846 by the 5th Nizam of Hyderabad - Afzal Ud Daulah, OMC was known with the name of Hyderabad Medical School. It is affiliated to the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences. OMC Hyderabad was ranked in 21st place in the rankings for the top medical colleges in India in magazines like India Today and The Week. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses under medical specializations. Admission to the college is done through a medical entrance exam across the country.
